Frank sees the writing on the wall Empty
PostSubject: Frank sees the writing on the wall   Frank sees the writing on the wall EmptyTue Oct 20, 2009 4:12 am

This is a "grease the skids" RP for DK coming and asking me to join their side possibly. You can petition me if you like, or just let it go. The way I see it, I'm staying out of the fray for a while, but my displeasure with the "powers that be" may lead DK into thinking I'm on their side. I'm not, nor do I ever intend to be, but that doesn't mean I'm on the Backyardigans side either. By the way, I'm likely to call Sommer's side of the conflict the Backyardigans (yes I know its the name of a kids cartoon show)...so if anyone steals my name for them, I'll punt you.

----------
"Breakout" by the Foo Fighters blasts throughout the arena as a man of medium build strides down to the ring, microphone in hand. Over a white T-shirt, he wears a gray zip-up hoodie with the letters "F" and "C" intertwined on the back, baggy navy blue pants and pure white high-tops. He climbs through the ring ropes and strides to the center of the ring where he turns his gaze to the announce table and gives a slight nod of his head. He is more animated than usual and the cocky smirk that usually graces his face has been replaced with a furrowed brow and narrowed eyes.
.
Frank Christopher: Once again...you know the routine. I'm out here tonight to set a couple of things straight. Number one, I've realized that you fans aren't to blame. I've said that over and over again, but I still held a grudge against you for supporting people who deserve no praise. Now, I've come to realize that not only are you not complicit in this insanity, but you might actually be completely innocent.
.
Frank lowers the microphone as the boos and "Go home Frank!" stop. A hush falls over the masses as the words ring in their ears.
.
Frank Christopher: That doesn't get you off the hook, but it does garner a little empathy from me. You see, last Saturday when I beat Schizio, my eyes were opened. You weren't rooting for him because you liked him. You rooted for him because he was up against me. That, my dear fans, is where the system is broken.
.
The conversation in the front row is audible on the mic because the rest of the crowd is so silent, listening intently to Frank Christopher's rant.
.
Frank Christopher: The system is broken because you are forced to choose between two people. Root for one and despise the other, by no volition of your own. You are told who the good guys and who the bad guys are by who squares off in this very ring. It's a sick cycle. You buy merchandise of the people who are put in front of you as a good guy, a fan favorite. You boo and hiss when your favorites lose, and this is of no fault of your own. This is the system. This is the hand of cards we've been dealt.
.
Christopher walks forward and hangs his arms over the top rope. The boos have completely stopped and he is getting a smattering of cheers from various sections of the crowd. He has a puzzling look on his face, somewhere between angry and relieved. The microphone hangs in his right hand as he scans the faces of the crowd. Finally, a grin cracks across his face and he raises the microphone to his lips.
.
Frank Christopher: So this is how we're going to play the hand. I'm going to tell the truth and I'm going to make sure that each and every one of you fans knows the truth. Whether you choose to accept it or not is up to you. I'm not going to play any more games with you or with anyone. I've shown you that the truth is out there and that you need to reach beyond your little sheltered belief in BWB to grasp it. My name is Frank Christopher and I...am...EPIC -
.
Frank Christopher thrusts the microphone out toward the crowd and they shout in unison, "TRUTH!" and erupt into thunderous applause as he drops the microphone and rolls out of the ring. He strides back up the ramp to the backstage area not pausing to shake hands or exchange high-fives with any of the fans who have their arms outstretched to him.
.
----------------
I know this seems like a tweener/face segment, but I have my reasons for it, which will be revealed later.

Feedback please?
